"Gonna be a whole thing" or "its a whole thing"

"Gonna be a whole thing" or "its a whole thing"

Another cheat quick copy post (actually like the first ever post) and so no images.

"It's all in your mind" - stolen from a colleague

"It's all in your mind"....
It's actually one of Mojmir's quotes but Daniel uses it weekly...does that count for this list? Maybe a little cheating is allowed.

"I'm going to roll my face on the keyboard"

Roll my face on the keyboard = I'm going to do some actual work

PS
The person in this image almost looks like me!

'Good luck' (a variant)

'Good luck' - another (again?) sarcastic answer given to a sensible question, usually headphones are put back on shortly after.

A variant of "you are going to have a terrible time".

'I'd give it [the toilet] an hour'

'I'd give it [the toilet] an hour' - you can guess!!!

No pictures with this one!

Nothing more - nothing less. But simply related?

yoloswag

'yoloswag' - says YOLO (you only live once) all the time but added swag in ref to something a colleague forget. Cracks us up though.

Defined....
YOLO : You only live once
SWAG : Secretly we are gay - defo "non Daniel".
YOLOSWAG : "...term used by twelvie morons that wear baseball caps backwards..." (there's more..)

So "cray" it hurts!

Check them all out on Urban Dictionary?

Cool cool

Cool cool = ok! I understand and agree.

Do you "Cool cool"?

'You're going to have a terrible time'

'You're going to have a terrible time' - usually said about a development task that you have to do but also a task that one doesn't want to touch....

An alternate version is:
"If x happens.... You're gonna have a bad time".

'Don't sass me #2' is 'Don't sass me, Jake'

'Don't sass me, Jake' - usually said to Jack, but calls him Jake - one of Jack's aliases.

Forcoffee?

We are a few posts in now so it must be time for a coffee? or 'Forcoffee?' in short.

Used when he offers to make coffee - a play on 'Anyone for coffee'.

Perfect Man Cave pub sign and just that.

"Google it"

'Google it' - a sarcastic reply.

A sarcastic reply to when you ask for help or ask a question that requires effort in answering although the answer is totally known.

Roughly translated into I can't be bothered to help you.

"Comrade"!

Comrade = "hello! I'm in a good mood."

This is one of the best Daniel-isms you could hope for. As soon as you hear it you know you are in for a good time/chat/session.

Big grins all 'round! Work harder.

Mistakes were made...

... an admission of someone else's guilt?

'Mistakes were made' - this is used when someone flags a developmental code error or coding shortfall where the guilty party is not known (at the time*).
Even wiki has an entry although I don't think attributed to me! Read "Mistakes were made on wikipedia"

* Guilt is not known at the time but SVN/GIT can lead to blame someone but this is usually not mentioned to save all parties. It could always come back to bite you some other time.

"Twitter toast": a chat up line for a lap dancer?

I managed to bore a lap dancer so much by talking about "Twitter toast" that she actually walked off. I thought that was almost impossible to do to them...

It's a thing

"It's a thing" - a saying or exclamation.

Definition: Something or some experience that manifests itself as over complicated or more awkward that it really needs to be.

Notes:
Normally this "It's a thing" type situation is never created by yourself and is wholly the responsibility of someone else, who you should have to chastise, but rarely (never) do.
